A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats
On February 1st, in the thaw of a Polar Vortex, the fire suppression sprinklers on the top floor of my building burst, completely drenching the print shops of Issue Press and my upstairs neighbor Alynn Guerra of Red Hydrant Press. Luckily, most of our printing equipment was saved by our neighbors and incredible local community - but much of our paper stock, back catalogs, archived collections, and additional materials were completely destroyed. Both studios suffered thousands of dollars in damage.
One month from the day our studios were hit, Alynn and I made and released this collaborative fundraising print together. Alynn carved two linocuts that were collaged together and printed here at Issue Press.
All proceeds will be split between both studios and will go to support our ongoing recovery presses. We made a large edition so that we could sell it cheaply and are made available at “a name your price”, with a $15.00 suggested amount. But every little bit helps, and we would love your support at any level.
